AI Search Optimisation (GEO & AEO) for UAE Brands
More of your customers now ask an AI before they search. When someone types “best clinic in Dubai Marina for…” or “which B2B agency in Dubai handles exhibitions?” into Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, they get a short answer with a few cited sources. Generative engine optimisation (GEO) and answer engine optimisation (AEO) help AI systems find, understand and trust your business, so it’s more likely to be one of those sources.

AI Search Has Arrived in the UAE
Google rolled out AI Mode in English across the Middle East and North Africa in August 2025, then added Arabic, including Modern Standard Arabic, in October 2025. Google says early AI Mode users ask questions two to three times longer than traditional searches. These are detailed, comparison-style questions that used to take several searches.

One Question, Many Searches
Google also explains that AI Overviews and AI Mode may use a “query fan-out” technique: they run several related searches across subtopics and then assemble one answer with supporting links. A business that clearly answers those subtopics, with consistent facts across the web, gives AI systems more to work with.

What GEO and AEO Actually Mean
Answer engine optimisation
Structures your content so the direct answer to a real question is easy to find and quote: clear headings, concise answers, lists, tables and FAQs.
Generative engine optimisation
Is broader. It makes your brand understandable and credible to AI systems across your site and the wider web: consistent business facts, expert content, third-party mentions, reviews and structured data that matches the page.
An honest note
Google states there are no extra requirements or special optimisations needed to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. The same SEO fundamentals apply, and a page must be indexed and eligible for a snippet. Other AI assistants work differently and change often. So no one can guarantee that an AI will cite your business, and we won’t promise it. What we do is remove the reasons AI systems can’t find, understand or trust you, and track what changes.
Our GEO & AEO Service
AI visibility audit
We build a set of real questions your customers ask, in English and Arabic, and check how Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot answer them. We record whether your brand appears, how it’s described, which competitors are named and which sources are cited.
Technical access and indexability
We confirm search engines and AI crawlers can reach your important pages: robots.txt and CDN settings, rendering, indexation, page speed and internal links. You decide which AI crawlers to allow. We explain the trade-offs, including Google’s separate Google-Extended control for training and grounding in some other Google systems.
Entity clarity
AI systems need consistent facts about who you are. We align your business name, services, locations, contact details, leadership and credentials across your website, Google Business Profile, social profiles and directories. We add structured data that matches the visible page content.
Answer-first content
We rewrite key service pages and create new ones so each answers its core question in the first lines, then covers the follow-up subtopics a fan-out search would explore: costs, process, timelines, comparisons, regulations and area-specific details. We do this in English and natively in Arabic.
Authority and citations
AI answers lean on sources other people trust. We work on genuine third-party signals: digital PR, expert commentary, industry directories, partnerships, and review generation that follows platform rules.
Measurement
We re-run the same question set on a fixed schedule and report share of answers, brand mentions, sentiment and cited sources over time. Google counts traffic from AI Overviews and AI Mode within the Web search type in Search Console, and we connect that and GA4 data to your enquiries.

AI Search Optimisation: Frequently Asked Questions
What is generative engine optimisation (GEO)?
Generative engine optimisation, or GEO (also spelled optimization), is the practice of making your business easy for AI-powered search tools to find, understand and cite. It combines strong SEO, clear answer-first content, consistent business facts and trusted third-party mentions.
What is the difference between GEO, AEO and SEO?
SEO improves visibility in classic search results. AEO structures content so direct answers are easy to extract. GEO covers how AI systems understand and trust your brand across the web. They build on each other rather than replacing SEO. See our SEO services.
Can you guarantee my business will appear in ChatGPT or Google AI Mode?
No. AI answers vary by question, user and platform, and no provider controls them. We improve the signals AI systems rely on and track your visibility on a fixed set of questions so you can see progress.
Do I need an llms.txt file or special schema for Google’s AI features?
Not for Google. Google states you don’t need new machine-readable files, AI text files or special schema markup to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. Other platforms may handle such files differently. We review them case by case and focus first on fundamentals that apply everywhere.
Does AI search work in Arabic in the UAE?
Yes. Google added Arabic, including Modern Standard Arabic, to AI Mode in October 2025. We run separate English and Arabic question sets because answers and cited sources often differ by language.
How do you measure AI search visibility?
We track a fixed set of commercial questions across agreed AI platforms and record brand mentions, positioning, sentiment and cited sources each month. We also connect Search Console and GA4 data to enquiries.
